Our 11th Anniversary Edition of Castles & Scoops will be held August 1st 2009 
at the Holiday Inn Sunspree Resort

The details
Families, youth, professionals, civic organizations and businesses can register to compete in many categories in this traditional sandcastle-building event!

On that day...
Registration begins promptly at 9am and castle-building will take place from 10am to 12noon.  During the judging, enjoy an ice cream sundae and forget the heat with some wacky Museum-led activities. At 1pm, the winners will be announced!

A true community tradition
Year after year the event is used by organizations as company outings and families as true quality time occasions. Architectural firms compete for the coveted top prize trophy -- something they showcase for a year and turn over to their successor at the following year's festivities.

Why participate?
100% of the proceeds go to the Museum. We are working hard to make ourselves a true community resource and provide quality, hands-on experiences for families and children throughout the Wilmington area. Funds raised will help us continue our efforts of outreach, programming and lowering our overall costs for the community.
