Wilmington, NC September 13, 2017- All aboard! Get ready for a fundraiser like no other and become one of the new crew as the voyage begins. On October 14th from 6pm until 10pm, the Children’s Museum of Wilmington puts on the captain’s hat and shows off a more elegant side. The 7th Annual Yacht Venture gala is a night of sophistication and the Museum’s largest fundraiser of the year.
Hosted by MarineMax, 130 Short St. in Wrightsville Beach, this formal event has a 21-and-up age limit making Yacht Venture the grown-ups’ time to enjoy CMoW. Sawmill Catering Company will have all hands on deck serving delicious food. Musical entertainment will commence as attendees are invited to explore locally owned yachts while overlooking Motts Channel. A silent auction, with bidding starting September 30th at midnight, gives participants the chance to take home donated luxury goods. This is truly a night in which every salty dog comes out a winner.
“Imagination and curiosity are not just for kids” said Harriett Loweth, Past President of the Board of Directors. “We’ve setup an opportunity where you can come and explore huge yachts, all to benefit the Children’s Museum.”
